It's them isn't it? Any way to be sure without resorting to torches and Sellotape?

Just dose her.
Better to be sure.
Wriggly bastards :o

No need for tape. They'll be wriggling around very noticeably outside the anus.

Am I odd in preferring my kids to have threadworm than nits? Coming them out of their hair.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 18/01/2014 23:47

I don't want either! I'm scared of nits too Blush. Think I'll take dd round to my mum tomorrow! Ovex it is then. And I'll be spending my Sunday cleaning :(

We've never had them before. Poor child is squirming round the bed and keeps getting woken up.

I've never even able to see them! When it's got really bad though they are visible in her poo Blush

Yes treat her. DD used to suffer terribly.

Snowflakepie · 18/01/2014 23:51

Worms is way better than nits. Dose her up, repeat in a week, end of. Nits is a bloody nightmare.

Honestly, tomorrow night she'll be fine once it's dealt with. You don't have to touch them. Grim but there are worse things. Wash the bedding and towels, might be worth wiping door handles, otherwise good hand hygiene is enough.

I've been there too often, clearly.

Use the medication ASAP. It works within 24 hours. Always keep some in the cupboard so you can give it straight away if it happens again. It's so distressing and uncomfortable for them.
