Bridging the gap between moses basket and sleeping in own room

DD is 13 weeks now and growing fast, and I can't imagine she will fit in the moses basket more than a few weeks more. We have a full sized cot bed in her bedroom but I am keen to keep her in our room until 6 months. The cot bed won't fit in our bedroom. I've thought about getting a travel cot to use in our room as an interim measure (we would get the use out of this for travelling anyway), but I'm not sure if its a daft idea or not.

So, what do you think, and if its daft then do you have any other suggestions? Thanks! :)

Can you borrow a crib from anyone? They are generally much bigger than a moses. My daughter only lasted 6 weeks in her basket, so you've done well!

You can get travel cots with a kind of bassinet bit on the top - that's what we used, like this one:

I was still packing my giant DS into his Moses basket at 3 months but he was like a sardine. He LOVED it though!

Thanks all for the responses. Our DD really is a tiny little dote, there's still about 3-4 inches of headroom left on the moses basket, but I'd like to get her into the next bed (whatever that may be) before it becomes a crisis, especially as its flipping miles to the nearest baby shop. I quite like the idea of the travel cot, as we would then be able to also use it for visiting family, but I'm a bit put off by all the reviews saying how hard it is to put up and down. Does anyobe have the mothercare one that was linked, and if so is it really that bad?

my 15 week old ds is currently in a travel cot in our room as we had the same dilemma. he's been fine in it and its worked out well for us, we've already used it at my parents over Xmas too. will definitely get our moneys worth even when he moves to cotbed in own room!

We've got the baby bjorn travel cot which is ace! V easy to put up and down and quite light and is also a little smaller than most but still big enough for our nearly two year old. Pricey but worth it.
