Non-sicky baby suddenly sick a lot

My 4 month old has only ever been sick about 3 times, and only small amounts. (I know I'm very lucky!) However, he fed about an hour ago and then the whole lot came back up. It wasn't curdled, it was like someone poured a whole glass of milk over the bed. Clothes and sheets changed, he fed again and the same happened. He hasn't fed since 11pm, so he must be hungry and thirsty. I'm worried about him.
I know babies are sick all the time, no headline news there, but this isn't normal for him. I feel quite alarmed. DP is away at the moment so I'm on my own and worrying. Does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on? Could it be a tummy bug? I think he has been teething, so could that be it? Advice and reassurance would be very welcome. Thanks x

My dd was not a sickly baby at all either, she did this twice though whilst little, once about 7 weeks (I remember it because it was her first major puke) and then again when a little older. Never bothered her, and I never found out what caused it but she wasn't ill with it. Both times right before bed though so I was paranoid about her doing it whilst I slept. Now have ds who pukes after every feed

Not enough experience with my own DS yet -he's 25 days!- but I distinctly remember my niece doing the same when teething. Her teething symptoms were almost flu-like , she would get very red, hot, tearful and then throw up -she wasn't a sicky baby. Shortly after there would be a tooth somewhere. It must be rubbish being on your own. I'd try again with a bath and a feed. There is always 111 and your surgery will be open soon if you're still worried just take him in- it's surely worth it if this is unusual for him and babies dehydrate so quickly,

Thank you both for your kind replies- I felt so much better having read them. I'm glad I'm not the only one! I think these things are a bit scary when its the middle of the night and there's no-one around to talk it through with. I'm feeling much better now the sun is up! And thanks for the reminder about 111- I'd forgotten about that. V useful.

DS seems ok now thankfully. He slept and had a massive feed this morning. I had the muslins on standby by it stayed down. Hurray! I suspect I'll never know why it happened, but will keep an eye out for a little tooth peeking through!

Thanks again Thanks
