Nappy stink disaster

To cut a long story short two buckets of wet nappies have been left by a radiator for 9 days!!! These are night nappies only so tend to pong a bit anyway but after this amount of time the smell was like nothing I have ever experienced before. I have given them a cold rinse followed by a 60 non bio wash. Smell remained so I followed up with another 60 wash with a dishwasher tablet, a scoop of mio nappy sanitiser and vinegar in the fabric conditioner slot. Smell still lingered only now a bit vinegary too so I've now done an extra long wash (4 hrs) at 40 with some biological surf (lemon and mandarin scent!!!) I found. The smell is less but still there, only thanks to the surf it's now a bit fruity. So what should I do. Keep washing with no soap powder until they smell ok or should I give them a proper soak in something? The nappies are tots bots Easyfits, a bamboozle, night notions and wonderoos plus a mix of hemp and bamboo boosters so I'm not sure what to soak in. I have vinegar, bicarb, soda crystals, nappy sanitiser, bio and non bio powder. Am tempted to make a cocktail of all of these and see what happens!! Any advice?
(Have bleached both buckets)

Personally I'd risk it and wash them at 90. You've washed them loads by now so it's unlikely the high temp would damage them but would at least get rid of any lingering bacteria. Then wash again or rinse to get any remaining detergent out.

Not a job I envy Grin

Thanks! Will the PUL in the Easyfits cope with 90?

Hang them outside for a week.

Tbh I have no idea. But you won't use them again if they smell (you could try the outside for a week idea first though!) anyway...

Unless they are cotton don't put them in at 90. Stick them outside to air for a few days.

I thought pul re-plasticised a bit (in a good way) at 60 so put them in on that with a whitevinegar rinse. It will deodorise. Price's chef candle if the room stinks.

Btw my dermatologist suggested 60 was good enough for germ control so should be good enough for stinky germy control!
