Honestly, baby clothes seem to literally not sell.

I've given a couple of piles to friends expecting if the right colour, the rest went to charity shop.

Sorry.

A friend of mine sold most of hers at a Jack and Jill sale along with all her toys and equipment. Might be worth checking in your area.

I sold one snow suit

Couldn't shift anything else

Order some of those clothes for cash bags instead

I pass them on to friends and acquaintances, or give them to a charity shop which a friend works at. Even if they are not in very good condition and they can't sell them, they can sell them to the rag man.

Some friends eBay/ local site them, but I personally CBA a with people coming round to see/ collect something for 50p/ £1. Toys go to their former nursery or school fete.

I sold some on eBay but this was before postage was costly.

I give most to a friend with a son 2yrs younger than my youngest and also give clothing to a woman who assists funding for a orphanage in Belarus.

If you can make contact with a women's refuge they also take clothing for the children that come in with their mother. But I have contacted them twice regardjng clothing/bedfing and baby equipment and they haven't answered me

Remember to keep some...

my girls dress their teddies and dolls in their old vests/sleepsuits/hand knit cardies and dresses....

ebay is fine if they are decent "named" clothes - Next, Baby Gap -for example, not Matalan, Asda.. unless you bundle them up and sell for peanuts...

DameDeepRedBetty · 01/01/2014 09:59

I passed a few on to friends and family, but mostly people get given shedloads of new in showers so there's virtually no second hand market in the UK.

I gave all the rest to charity.

Clarabumps · 01/01/2014 10:04

There are a few2nd hand baby markets about. I did one in the summer. I made about £100 but after an hour I sold everything for a pound as I wasn't going home with anything. You need to be prepared for selling everything for cheap. There were people there that had gift wrapped bundles of used baby grows for £3. They never sold.

Planning to turn some into patchwork quilts. Though probably not until youngest is at school and I have the time. Coats make good pyjama cases.

meditrina · 01/01/2014 10:09

I donated ours to an orphanage overseas.

Wherever you sell, you are unlikely to make much - just do whichever has easiest admin for you.

Have a memory quilt made

Eletheomel · 01/01/2014 17:41

You can sell them in jack and jill markets or in NCT sales. However, we've decided to give ours to local city council who give them out to the needy through their social work department. We're keeping a few items by for a memory bear (if we ever get round to ordering one...)

I love the idea of a memory quilt! I've looked into getting one made and they're over £100 and have waiting lists of 6 months, such a shame.
