Hi,
My DC is 2.5 has always slept 12 hours. However the last month he keep waking losing his comfort blanket in bed. I'm shattered as can be up 6 times trying to find it. He doesn't want to get up just purely can't find his toy which he holds to sleep.
What would you do as the days are as hard as when he was a newborn! Grr! He's not ill x

Could you put some sticky back/sew on Velcro on the back of it then another bit on the pillow, then sticking it on, so he can cuddle it and so it is always next to him. Might be worth wrecking a pillowcase for the sleep.

We had similar with DD, hers kept falling down the sides of the bed. We have put a large soft toy on each side to pen it in now.

Hi,
I've already through about both those options. I can't tie it because I'm paranoid about him getting caught up in the tie. As for Velcro he's so mobile that he moves around with it in his hand so he would unstick it.
Would you let him cry it out? It's awful as the toy is his best friend, they go everywhere together.

Mine never had anything like this. One had her thumb, the other had me permanently attached to her!!! In hindsight a blanket would have even a good plan!!!

Could he tuck it into his pjs or button it on?

Put more than one in the bed.

We have this issue. Solved by making sure there are no gaps down side of bed (shoved cushions in) and having a stern word about not waking us to look for it. Hoeever our DD was much older and able to understand/ keep to the last bit. Aside from this I think multiple comforters is the way to go.

airhostess · 27/12/2013 13:26

We bought an extremely similar one that now shares the bed but he isn't the real one in my Son'd eyes.
Any more suggestions?
Thanks for all so far x

What about a wrist loop? Make a bracelet out of felt(no hemming required) and sew a long piece of Velcro onto each ends to hold it together and make it adjustable and flexible and strong. Then sew toy onto bracelet.

I did this for DS, cost about fifty pence and took ten minutes and I am not a natural handicraft person.
