I really like these nappies.I have 6 which I am using all the time. Not enough for my heavy wetting chap at night, then I use boosted bumbles or huggles.

I think I want to get a few more.

How are you getting on with yours Soupy, Flame, anyone else?

can't believe you are still buying nappies Mrs D you must have thousands by now

SoupDragon · 20/07/2006 10:54

Still having a few leaking problems although that's better since I started putting a Tesco's value microfibre cloth under the pad and kind of shaping it so it has extra at the legs and fans out across the back near the tabs. I do find it wicks at the waist where the fleece rolls out at the top and I think this was the problem round the legs. I generally do like them though.

CaptainFlameSparrow · 20/07/2006 11:09

Sold mine. Really couldn't get to grips with them. I am now a dedicated wam-bamboozler.

Oooh, and very much into wool wraps... I will be sooo torn when it gets colder and I have to try and choose between my wool obsession and my love of dungarees... considering finding out if anyone makes dungaree longies

Have you popped yours out Soupdragon? I didn't realise ds was growing out if his newborn size

Strange, but I think the ift is one ofthe best things about this nappy. Better than any of my other nappies.

Yep, I'm using the middle set of poppers.

BonyM · 20/07/2006 16:18

I still like mine but not quite as much as when I first had them. No leakage problems, but sometimes the velcro seems to come undone on its own.

Wish they were prettier too .

I'm with Flame on the wool wraps - love them for day and night, but have recently bought a wacky wrap whi ch is bloody gorgeous!

MrsDoolittle · 20/07/2006 17:48

How long have you had them now? Are you saying the velcro wears out?

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 20/07/2006 19:11

I've had this is BabyDragon twists about a lot during a change. I think it's if you don't get the fuzzy bit properly flat before you stick the spiky bit to it. Which is tricky with a wriggler.

I've got a problem with 3 or so of mine where the double sided velcro tab is coming unstitched round the end. Keep meaning to email nappymania about it.

BonyM · 20/07/2006 20:02

I've had them about 3 months but I don't think the velcro has worn out - think it is as Soupy says, I don't always get the tabs completely flat. I also have a wriggler .

CaptainFlameSparrow · 21/07/2006 08:49

Had some sleep and the logical part of my brain has kicked in... wool dungarees wouldn't work would they because the t-shirt would come in contact with the nappy, unless it was some really complicated design where the tab bits were added over an elasicated waist, which would look plain freaky (clearly wool dungarees wouldn't look freaky in the slightest ).

Rambling aloud now since I have no imput for the bumgenius chat!

BonyM · 21/07/2006 09:04

Flame.

Why can't you use a wool wrap under dungarees though? Or am I missing something?

CaptainFlameSparrow · 21/07/2006 09:20

I'm wondering about bulkiness... by the time he's in a wambamboo (slim, but not the slimmest), with the thick wool.... Couche didn't suit him in the slightest - he reacted to the velcro and worked out how to get it off .

Maybe I'll just have to buy a couple of cut 4 cloth styleee ones, and no other clothes for him .

Oooh, or M&S maybe - my stepmum bought DS a gorgeous pair of jeans from there yesterday, and although again they were pricey, they have a really big bum to them....

SoupDragon · 21/07/2006 09:24

I've always found M&S narrow fitting - the age appropriate sizes dont'fit BabyDragon for more than a month.

CaptainFlameSparrow · 21/07/2006 09:29

I was a bit baffled too because they never suited DD, but these jeans are huge. Maybe it is just that one style? Or where DS is diddy apart from the nappy that they look huge?

SoupDragon · 21/07/2006 09:40

Are they actually a pair of shorts for age 2-3 years?

BonyM · 21/07/2006 16:57

I find H&M really good for cloth bums - had some dungarees from there for dd earlier in the year and they fitted fine.
