what's your dc's eat, sleep and play routine?

Ds is 8 weeks, think we need more of a routine. What did you do at that age? Wouldn't mind so much but he gets so tired he cries, awful to see him upset just through lack of sleep (he fights it, sleeps v well overnight and when in a darkened room during the day - not always possible).

Thank you x

Oh I have the exact same question! I'm starting to recognise DDs sleepy cues but she hates daytime sleeping that isn't on someone.

At that age I just fed him every time he made a peep, held him a lot and took him to bed with me in the day. He had most of his naps on me while I watched TV (god I miss those days!). Alternatively feeding then putting him in the sling or pram with a dummy and going for a walk seemed to be good for sleep.

He sounds overtired. Iäd do whatever for a few days to get him back on an even keel and then go for a routine of sorts.

I fed on demand but approx every 3 hrs took approx 40min, then changed nappy, had a chat/play with him and put him to bed - normally for about an hour or so (until he woke). But i watched his queues and let the routine alter to what he prefered, mine liked feeds closer first thing in the monring and last thing at night.

We couldn't feed to sleep early days as he was failing to thrive and had to be forced awake to eat, but when yours is so little if it gets you all some rest I'd say go for it.
