I cant be the only one....

I surely cant be the only person who gets a bit of inner rage sometimes reading about Kate Middleton looking amazing when she has it all done for her - nanny, cook, housemaid etc etc, and now Simon Cowell gets his lady a 24 hour nanny and chef, and a c-section in an ultra exclusive hospital. My daughters currently 15 weeks old, and properly laughed for the first time yesterday (so addictive I ended up giving her hiccups Blush), and DH often works away a couple of nights a week, and if here will often work late so I do a lot of it on my own. I get out and about to groups and stuff, but sometimes I think I might like a chef to whip me up something tasty and healthy or a nanny covers me so I can get a lie in or to the hair dressers (and not having to get a packet of dye at the chemists and ignoring the mounting split ends) etc! Grin

I'd rather look a bit sloppy and spend my day tickling my DC than live in the goldfish bowl that Middletown, Cowell etc live in.

Yes they have chefs, nannies, stylists and a whole troupe of helpers, but they have all the scrutiny of having the world watching them and sticking cameras through the gaps in their fences.

Your DD is still tiny, and at a difficult stage. But a beautiful stage, and you're blessed to get to see it all.... the celebs out and about at various shows are missing out.

No not just you Grin

My lovely boy is 2 weeks old and I had a long labour ending in an emergency c-section so recovery has been slow!

DH is great but we've had quite a few take aways recently Blush the house is clean but untidy, I don't often blow dry my hair and am quite often still in my pjs mid morning.

So yes, I'd quite like a chef and someone to do my hair/nails Grin

All that said, my boy is amazing and I wouldn't swap him for anything Smile

Yes i am sure we would all have super flat tummies if we had someone to mind the baby each day whilst we went on the rowing machine and did some post natal yoga. Mind you, I can't really think of anything worse right now! Prefer lounging around with my LO!

If I was in the goldfish bowl that Kate lives in then I would probably have felt pressure to zip back into shape too. But I'm glad that I could just focus on enjoying my babies rather than wasting pointless thoughts and energy worrying about losing the baby belly.

ahh perhaps they were bad examples, I wouldn't wish her life for anything - it's just sometimes I would like someone to hand me a nice meal and let me put me feet up for a bit. My parents live in england - I am in Germany, but the in-laws, who I do really like - come over on a saturday most weekends - but it just ends up me hosting them when I run around even more tired, I just really wish they would do as I asked, which I know sounds a bit 'stamping feet' but there you go! Xmas Blush I just sometimes think to myself, if someone was paid, they would make me exactly what I wanted to eat, and take care of her when I wanted a little break how I asked, instead of over tiring her, which makes way more work later on for me, so it's not really 'help'. Xmas Confused I am sure I am in no way the only person who feels like that, and I do love the way they adore their grand daughter. Just feel a bit knackered!
