toddler who doesn't stop and is into everything - at end of tether!

My 15mth old is literally into everything! I know toddlers are naturally v curious but compared to others his age who I see at groups and play dates, he's way more active and inquisitive. I'm worn out! I work part time. On my days at home with him, if we stay in at all - and sometimes we have to, at least for part of the day - he makes soooo much mess! I'm no tidy freak by any means but he pulls all the books from our bookshelves and the CDs and DVDs from their racks, tears up any paper / tissues/ loo roll left in his reach, empties out the bins (unless I put them in the bath / utility room / on window sills) moves anything he can reach from its rightful place to somewhere else, gets in the shower cubicle if he can and gets wet needing a change of clothes, pulls clothes from his and our drawers, tries to climb inside dishwasher, pulls oven shelves (not hot!) from the oven etc etc
When he naps I spend time clearing up the mess before I can even start on the daily chores such as hanging up washing, loading / unloading dishwasher, preparing lunch and then have no time for any bigger, one off jobs. Weekends are family time for DS, DH and I mainly but I find it frustrating - both my never decreasing to-do list and DS's exhausting activity level. Normal or hyperactive? Any tips please....?!! Thx!

Same here. DS is still very much like that and he's three, with the exception of pulling clothes out of drawers. Public toilets are a nightmare because he pulls all the toilet roll out and tries to hold the toilet brush. DD is showing signs of being similar and she is 11 months.

I have learned to put everything out of reach. But it gets harder when they can climb. DS likes to climb on the kitchen work surfaces so now I've had to move the eggs and the knives.

I remember at one group my son was pulling all the puzzles off the table and throwing them on the floor whereas a little girl a little younger than him was actually quietly doing a puzzle.

I have one, he has just turned three and is still the same. My older two were angels and my youngest is very placid too. Number 3 however is a mini whirlwind and has been since birth.
Last week he emptied a whole bottle of baby lotion, massive jar of sudocrem, and a whole bottle of bubble bath onto his bed when he was supposed to be napping.
This week he has,
broken a whole stack of plates and my slow cooker pot.
Eaten most of a massive jar of plum jam,
Drawn on his brother with permanent pen, and it's only Wednesday!
He is so impulsive and needs constant supervision really but I have three other DC do can't focus on him all the time.
He is very good at spotting when I am busy changing DS3's nappy for example and security's off to make mischief!
