Have baby twins, and a rubbish week with various disasters. My dd (3) has been watching too much peppa pig since babies were born. We are free tomorrow, any ideas of what I could do with her to give her a bit of attention and cheer us both up. Am tired and skint though!

Where in the country are you, beaches? I can make some suggestions if you're in London

Go for a walk with a bucket and some paper and crayons. Do tree bark rubbings, collect leaves, acorns etc. Maybe take a flask of hot chocolate.
Then put more Peppa on. Do not make yourself feel guilty or sad. So long as you are still showing your daughter love and affection you are doing a grand job. X

Feed the ducks, jump in piles of leaves and or muddy puddles, collect leaves and make leaf collages, print out colouring sheets from cbeebies and each choose a colour to colour together (free printing normally at the library if you haven't got one at home), go to the library and sit and look at endless peppa pig books together, go out for cake or icecream (you don't have to get drinks etc) my DS's and I used to go to McDonald's for icecream as our special treat when they were little. The cones were just over 50p then. If you've got any balloons blow them all up and throw them around. Bubble mix is also fun if you've got any in.

Let your DD do your hair.

Make sandwiches and let her raid the fridge/ cupboards to choose toppings.

You could feed the ducks somewhere, or make flapjacks/fairy cakes/rice crispie cakes if you have the ingredients in. Have a lovely day!

Make some Christmas decorations together(cardboard or salt dough or whatever you have lying around), or Christmas cards to send to relatives?

Thank you, am off to sleep now as finished feeding babies, but will look properly at this thread in the morning and take up the advice! Not in London btw, but thank you anyway.

Strap the babies into their pushchair and take all 3 for a walk around the local garden centre. Most of them have a winter wonderland theme at this time of year and some even have a Santa's grotto. Let your dd walk around with you and talk about the twinkly lights, festive decs, sparkles, trees, winter animals, Santa, what she wants for Xmas etc. Then stop off in the tea room (if they have one) for a little treat. Later on you can get her to help put up the tree at home (if you've not already done so) and make decs for it and the room. Make paper plate angels and hand print reindeer. Then watch Nick Jr Xmas specials together to finish the day.
