DD has had poor weight gain and an upset tummy since day one. About 4 weeks ago she was diagnosed as dairy intolerant - so I stopped breastfeeding her and we started nutramigen. She took it fine, her symtoms virtually disappeared overnight and she was so much happier. Also on the advice of a gastric paediatrician, we started to wean her about two weeks ago which she got on well with.

She was only ever taking 700-800ml milk per day but for four days now, this has dropped to 400-500 as she skips feeds and when she does feed, it's a small volume. She's had some vomitting so it's poss she's had an upset tummy - this is what the gp thinks. I've stopped the solids for now but I'm so worried about her lack of interest in her bottle and the risk of her becoming dehydrated (she won't take bottles of water either).

Any experiences, thoughts or suggestions much all appreciated.

TIA

I would try her in fruit pots and puréed veg , also try some water in a sippy cup. If she's dairy intolerant the milk they have now given you doesn't taste great. Try coconut milk and add a scoop of her new formula so she can adjust to the taste x

Hello OP.

I have no experience of this but as you are worried about dehydration, if she doesn't pick up tomorrow I would call out of hours, just to put your mind at rest if nothing else.
If her tummy has been upset she won't feel like food but agree she needs water.
I would keep trying her with water, even if she doesn't manage much it will be a help.
Hope she is better soon, sounds like she's having a bad time of it, poor love.
