hairymclary · 13/07/2006 20:12

spugs · 13/07/2006 20:14

I want to be an online agent - I am useless at tracking down rl people, but would happily harrass anyone online

CorrieDale · 13/07/2006 21:31

My name is CorrieDale and I am a nappyholic.

(And evanglical with it too.)

UniSarah · 13/07/2006 22:47

I prefer to think of myself as an evangelist. but yeah, bit of a nappyholic. getting a aname for it at baby massage etc as i will happly chuck a cloth nappy at any one who wants a look.

CaptainFlameSparrow · 13/07/2006 22:52

Do you find yourself carefully selecting nappy & wrap for clinic days???

hairymclary · 13/07/2006 23:02

I used to, don't go to clinic much now. But I do enjoy hot days when ds can just wear nappy and t-shirt

CaptainFlameSparrow · 13/07/2006 23:09

Poor DS has been freezing his little legs off just so I can show off his wraps

hairymclary · 13/07/2006 23:10

boys never get as many funky wraps as girls though do they?
we have some cool minki ones, and nature babies. I love the pink spotty one and wish they did it in blue

Freddiecat · 13/07/2006 23:12

I have such boring nappies as they are 4 years old now and there was nothing exciting out there then!

CaptainFlameSparrow · 13/07/2006 23:21

I'm not doing badly so far - got my wacky wrap today ... the dog has flappy ears!!! I was quite miffed though - they have a picture of one with a spider on it, but that wasn't on offer when I ordered the dog one!

I found bumsnugglers too who do some great ones - the lovely lady custom makes them for you too, so I get lots of ooohs and ahhhhs over his welsh one.

I find that wool ones you have to be a cloth mummy to appreciate... most people look at him and have the expression of "why is that woman dressing that poor baby in knitted shorts", whereas a cloth mum is more likely to say "Ooooh stripes!"

Freddie - a bit of tie dye, and a couple of new wraps would do the trick

hairymclary · 13/07/2006 23:25

oh yes I have the most gorgeous AIO made by bumsnugglers.

have yet to acquire any wool because I can't knit and I refuse to pay £15 for something that costs about 15p

CaptainFlameSparrow · 13/07/2006 23:30

My friend is mates with the woollywraps lady, and she says she is a very very nice woman... I don't feel so bad about giving her my money! (Yes, I know that sounds insane).

I am trying ot justify a bumsnugglers AIO, but I really can't until he is at least 1!!!

hairymclary · 13/07/2006 23:35

it's fabby for night time.
we have hemp inner a blue spidery fleece outer

spugs · 14/07/2006 12:54

see now im going to have to find some bumsnugglers and prob. end up getting one. damn it!! no will power. ive ordered one of the pink wacky wraps with a sun on it. Unfortunatly missed the post yesterday though so have to wait till sat to get it.

Can I gloat a bit? I've just received a Lucy's Hope Chest nappy I bought second-hand from the Nappy Lady's classified. It's ... it's.... OMG, I can hardly describe it, it's sooooooo lovely. I was gushing about it to DH, showing it to him in the minutest detail, and he said "CD, it's a nappy. He's gonna poo in it." My evangelism is clearly having no effect at home. DH has even said that he is 'looking forward' to when DS is not in nappies. ?????????

vkone · 15/07/2006 09:07

I've been outed! (thanks FS) It gets worse I've falen in love with organic velour in a big way and I've now taken to stalking US sites AND I bought a hawiian print pocket from Wee Notions for DH's appreciation (he's a Hawiian shirt collector - reading that back, I'm not sure which of us looks sadder)

Bagpuss30 · 15/07/2006 09:20

Ooh, yes, sign me in too please. I have way many more nappies than I need.

vkone, I was looking at weenotions pockets last night - really want a cow print one for ds2. I am currently in love with my velour swaddlebees though - it is sooooo soft.

horsemadgal · 15/07/2006 15:46

Ooo can I join in. DS is 2.5yrs and about to potty train and I still can't stop. Latest purchase is a Wee Notions and wow, must have more. Also that tractor Wacky Wrap, I must have that!!

And CorrieDale was that my Lucy's Hope? Lilacy with animals??

CaptainFlameSparrow · 15/07/2006 16:19

Its worrying when you start getting known for being on naappy threads isn't it vkone (Oh, and your DH is definately more sad than you!!!)

CD - my DH has been glared at enough times for sayig thngs like that that he now just humours me . I was looking at DS yesterday thinking that he wasn't allowed to want to potty train before he is 12

CorrieDale · 15/07/2006 20:18

yes!!!!! that's the one! It's spent the day on the line (it actually dried in about 15 minutes but I wanted to show off to the neighbours, coz, like, they're so bothered!) and sometimes I would go out and finger it tenderly in a 'wonder if this is dry' kind of way, so the neighbours didn't realise the mad lentil-weaver was stroking cloth nappies. It's gorgeous though - I can't wait to put DS in it, and promise I shall treat it well. Now I'm wondering about these Wee Notions peope are mentioning...

DH, incidentally, has asked me to point out that he does actually humour me most of the time and has not once cavilled at the number of nappies I seem to feel that it is necessary for us to have for one small baby.

spugs · 15/07/2006 21:12

Got my sunshine wacky warp today very cute, have decided not to buy anymore nappies at the min, cos bubba is going to grow out of most of the ones she has now which means in 5 mths time ill have the excuse to do it all again. im already planningt my wish list!!

JulesLT · 15/07/2006 22:11

I LOVE NAPPIES! I have found that i have become obsessed with matching tshirts to wraps and nappies!!

i also find myself spending a little too much time arranging them on the washing line for the neighbours benefit!!
HOW SAD!!

horsemadgal · 16/07/2006 00:31

LOL CorrieDale, I do that too with the washing on the line.
The WeeNotions is adorable but too small for DS, ggrrrr. I thought it was an XL but it's just a L. Oh well an excuse to get another, LOL!!
The weather has to be nice tomorrow too, more nappies on the line!!!
