Not sure how you spell it but my DD1 now 2 1/2 has toddler diahorrea and never done a solid pooh.

Wasn't worried until now as all I have read says they just grow out of it. But it seems to be getting worse and the thought of potty training sends shivers down my spine!

Any experience of this? Any advice?

Both my DSs suffer from this and I have just trained DS1 very succesfully - it wasn;t a problem at all just frequesnt visits and he only had 2 pooing accidents in all. I waited until I knew he was really ready at 2.10 and he was done in a week! His nappy is dry most nights too so we will probably go nappyless at night soon. As long as she is ready I am sure it will be fine. Good luck.

it can be a sign of a food allergy/intolerance. have you had her checked for that?

Hi Jamhead. My DS 2.8 had TD as well. It went on and on until he was about 2.3. I was so concerned as he is a skinny thing and doesn't have the biggest appetite. I took him to the Health Visitor and they advised me to take him to the allergy clinic. I never actually did this as I don't have much faith in our Health centre so I took him to our GP instead. He weighed him, took his height measurements etc. and said he was a fine healthy and TALL energetic boy. He told me that I was not to worry and that it would just taper off and eventually stop altogether. Funny thing is it did stop about 2 days later!

I spoke to my GP about the allergy tests and he said it was my decision if I wanted to go ahead but didn't think it was necessary in this case. He suggested that I would have to withdraw all dairy products from DS's diet for 3 months before we could have any tangible results! No milk! No cheese.....These are the only things he really enjoys! I decided not to withdraw and was lucky that the TD stopped.

I would suggest you go see your GP, get your DD checked out and see what they suggest. Maybe you will have the luck as me.

Good Luck
