12 degrees - what to wear

We've just returned from a weekend away and our boiler isn't working.

We have a 14 week old dd.... I'm planning to double up baby gro and wear vest plus 2.5 tog grobag.

The room is showing 12 degrees at the moment. Can't get anyone out til tomorrow.

Any thoughts on whether that'll be enough?

My wee one 's teeny but pretty robust. Not being pfb but may bring her into our bed if it still seems Baltic later.

I think that sounds fine, she'll cry if she's too cold so if that happens you can always stick an extra blanket on top of the sleeping bag. Better to be a bit cold than too hot with little ones.

I'd bring her into bed with you. Our thermostat is set at 15 degrees normally, so 12 shouldn't be too super freezing. maybe do layers of blankets rather than babygros which are easier to take off if she gets too hot. HV told me once Taft a cold baby will wake up, but a too hot one will overheat.

If you have British Gas Homecare cover, they will prioritise you if you tell them you have a baby.

I find on really cold nights my ds (12wks) wakes and I just put a blanket over his grow bag for a couple of hours.
