There is always one more vomit: What is your post-sick protocol?

So you know when you wake up to find yourself running down the hall to the unmistakeable sound of a retching child and open the door to find dc/bed/covers/toys, etc covered in sick and hysterical child. What do you do next? Dh and I seem to have a divide and rule - one extracts, calms and cleans dc and the other strips bed (usually him). But what next? B/c if I have only learnt one thing from 4y of motherhood it is that there is always one more vomit. Risk your bed? Put dc back into their own clean bed/ cot and repeat x2 x3 etc? Any better ideas? As we load 5th round of washing today. After same series of events two days ago. Poo, wee, blood... couldn't care less. But vomit... UGH.

Lots and lots of towels! And we use pre fold cloth nappies and I've found these come in handy under Sheets to protect the matress. I've found it's also handy to have some disposable changing mats handy for times like this as well. I to hate vom above all else and have unfortunately been bless with a regular spewer. The joys!

Towels everywhere and every bed always has a waterproof mattress cover on. Even ours and the spare as then if I take sick child into any bed there is damage limitation. Also keep a bag of muslins for sick catching purposes. It's vile though, hope it's gone soon.

Towel on the pillow, bowl by the bed and a clear instruction not to come running to my room, go to the bathroom and shout for me!
