Hi Guys,

DD is almost 4 months old and had a high temp yesterday and starting to teeth i think. The hosp said to give her calpol and keep her cool. She slept fine last night but now she is crying like crazy and hasnt had a bottle since 7:30 which is unlike her. Nothing seems to make her stop. I gave her dentonox to numb her gums to try feed her but she just got all worked up. Dp is at work and im not sure what to do, her temp seems fine and she has had plenty of sleep Hmm

She's just being a baby. Snuggle down with her on the sofa, turn up the TV and watch something while you hold her.

Give her more calpol when it's time or you can give Calpol and Nurophen (ibuprofen) together.

Lots of cuddles. Baby ibuprofen if you have some? Change her nappy. Sounds like either teething or a virus, lot of bugs going round at the minute. My baby is also not happy today.

If she really won't stop crying (how long has she been crying?) take her to the Walk In centre.

Thanks guys shes only been crying for an hour or so, its just really off for her. I think its something about being a man because dp always knows what to do! DD has settled down and started a bottle now, she has developed a habbit of waiting until we really need help then calming down as soon as we get some Hmm were on the bed having a bottle and cuddle now Smile Really appreciate the help.

Put her in the pram and go out for a walk. Fresh air and new sights/sounds could distract her enough to stop crying then you could offer a bottle.

Ah xpost. I's still take her out though just to clear your own head and speak to some real life human adults Grin its very stressfulmhaving a baby crying like that- you need to wind down from it aswell as her.

Second taking her out in the pram!

Glad she seems a lot better. Smile
