Bamboozles all the way!

Never tried Fluffles because microfibre grates on my fingers and makes the hairs stand up at the back of my neck. Yeuch! Bamboozles are the best.

Bamboozles or might I add wam-bamboo (anyone on nappy threads a lot is now sick of that link ) all the way.

I have some fluffles, but quickly went off them and now only use em on him in the paddling pool (don't ask).

I'd generally boost a Fluffle.

Generally IMO differences are

Bamboozles go crunchy in hard water areas, Fluffles don't.
Bamboozles take ages and ages and ages to dry, Fluffles dry really quickly (2-3 hours in some cases).
Bamboozles are unlikely to upset sensitive skin (yours or baby's), Fluffes might.
Bamboozles are more natural and tree-huggy.

We switched to stuffables (from a mixture of regular Tots, Fluffles and Bamboozles) when DS started at nursery, though, so I don't have a passionate opinion on the Fluffles-vs-Bamboozles question.

Bagpuss30 · 13/07/2006 16:36

Yeah, I prefer my bamboozle to my fluffle as it doesn't irritate ds2's skin so much.

JulesLT · 13/07/2006 22:33

LeahE what do you boost your fluffle with?

OP posts:
JulesLT · 13/07/2006 22:34

Do Bamboozles need to be boosted overnight - ds sleeps 12hrs and normally wears a nature baby.

I boost - a mother of eden booster from www.babykind.co.uk is great.

We live in a very hard water area and our bamboozles are fine (I tried a fluffle but didn't get on with it).

expatinscotland · 16/07/2006 21:46

i find bamboozle slim-fitting, too.

misdee · 16/07/2006 21:53

bamboozles. fluffles smell horrible when wet.

laundrylover · 16/07/2006 23:12

I like both for night nappies (use prefolds in the day) but whichever you go for stuff with cheap microfibres.
We stuff with 2 and easily do 13 hours and this is with 2 night feeds.
I know what people mean about the Fluffle funny feeling but they do have a lovely fleecy inside .

wherethewildthingsare · 17/07/2006 09:46

I love both - fluffles are great for night time, the fleece is good and they seem to get less 'soaked' IYKWIM due to the lightness of the material. The weird feeling of the fabric does go after a while! They dry so much quicker than bamboozles, it's alway useful to have some. I prefer bamboozles for the day as they are slim and neat under clothes - I'm not sure about wham-bams because they are a little too slim and the fold over velcro isn't as sturdy as a bamboozle so they seem to fall apart a bit.

CaptainFlameSparrow · 20/07/2006 11:15

You really found the wambamboos too slim?? I have two very chunky babies and they do them sooo well. Not tried the velcro version, so no idea about that side of things.

I've found my fluffle is really good in the paddling pool

wherethewildthingsare · 20/07/2006 11:39

I am perservering cos I want slim! However I want them to last a bit [twit emoticon] perhaps they need to wash more. Personally I find nippa bamboo nappies too slippery to grip IYKWIM

CaptainFlameSparrow · 20/07/2006 14:29

I did a trial run of the wambamboos... can I pass on your velcro comments to her so that she might be able to rectify it a bit?

I have found that old style nappy nippas work better with bamboo than the new ones - They are slightly sharper or something.

Hmmm... maybe I should get DH to file down the new ones.

bamboozleslover · 28/07/2006 03:40

Nippa Bamboozles have now been discontinued due to some problems with the effectiveness of using Nappi Nippas with older Bamboozle nappies. do you get this problem using nippas with all nappies or just bamboozles?
