I've had all of one weeks experience of using cloth at night. Great at first but the last 2 nights dd has wet through to the sheet. I'm using a couche wrap and bamboozles (unboostered) I am assuming it was because I need to add a booster but how can you tell if the wrap needs re-lanolising? We had a sopping wet nappy, a damp sleepsuit and a perfectly dry wrap so does that mean the wrap is ok or does it need treating because it's new?

if in doubt, lanolise. It usually takes 3 treatments to get a wrap up and running, If ound i could get one or two nights out of a new one and then had to start lanolising them.

If the couche cover is the one I think it is (with velcro?) try boosting between the nappy and wrap as well just to make sure, if the booster is only damp then you probably don't need it.

I have couche covers and lanolised them before use. I also boost my nippa Bamboozles at night (for some reason my 2 aplix ones are more absorbent and don't need boosting).

vkone is right about the 3 treatments required to get a wrap to maximum waterproof-ness (is there such a word??? ).

Thanks. I will try that. I love my couche cover -she looks so cute in it.

Yup - couche comes lanolised, but it will need at least 2 more.

I seem to recall reading that you need to lanolise wool once a week for the first 3 weeks, and then as and when it needs.
