Shouted at my toddler :(

So I got one from work and she was in a cute and happy mood. We were having a laugh whilst I was making dinner, all was fine (apart from the fact that i got in trouble at work for leaving early to go and pick her up, have a chest infection and am preg and knackered, but that's obvs nothing to do with her). My friend who liked after her today told me she only ate bloody chocolate buttons and nothing else today so I assumed she would eat all her tea and made her cheese lasts with peas and broccoli (she loves it normally). She wouldn't even try it for some reason i just flipped, shouting (well, I would have been shouting if I hadn't lost my voice due to infection)"for f*s sake why are you doing this??" Then I rang my oh to moan and she tugged on my top whilst I was talking and I told her to "bloody get off me"! I feel so awful now! Anyone else ever go a bit mental and feel bad??

Every mother ever! Give her a cuddle and don't beat yourself about it.

Every parents, full stop.

Give her a cuddle and a kiss, tell her you love her, and carry on.

Yup, we've all had our less than finest moments. Tell her mummy can sometimes get cross when she's tired, cuddle and forget about it. Just getting in from work/getting dinner is a stressful time of day...they're tired, you're tired, sick etc.

MummyLuce · 05/11/2013 20:54

Aw thanks everyone, feel way better after reading these! Thanks so much. It's defo is a stressful time of day! Thanks again x x

Yes. A few times.
One of my classics was: Stood at top of stairs and screamed, as loud as I could, to no one in particular:
" I am only bloody human and there is only so much shit I can cope with, you know".

LittleBlondeNinja · 06/11/2013 02:53

Yeah its normal parenting pushed to the limit stuff. Ive done it. Im sure we all have.

milkysmum · 06/11/2013 03:26

Yep been there and so will most have been this parenting business is not an easy one!

BigDomsWife · 06/11/2013 16:53

Yup, some of the filth that has come out of mouth is shameful. I never thought this would happen . . .me?? Shouting & mouthing off at my 3 year old like that? Try to forget. We've all been there.

whereisthewitch · 06/11/2013 16:55

I always fall out with 2yo DD, she knows what buttons to press.
She will still love you don't worry just give her a cuddle and explain why you got angry.

Thurlow · 06/11/2013 16:58

The other day I said "fuck's sake, DD" and sent her to stand in the kitchen, just because she tried to help remove her nappy and got poo everywhere. She was just trying to help. Not my proudest moment.

Give her a great big cuddle, if she's old enough apologise to her, and do something fun. And give yourself a break.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/11/2013 17:00

Oh God we have all been there, please don't give yourself a hard time over it.

Give her a hug, tell her you love her and sit down and read a book together or something.
