there was a girl in Yr 4 wearing a top that said 'On the pull'

I think thats awful and i'm not easily shocked by theses things and sometimes I like some of the slogan t'shirts depending on what they say, but how awful to let your 9/10 yr old wear that.

I think a lot of people don't really look at the slogans on clothing - after all, so many clothes have completely meaningless gumph on them. But if the parents are fully aware of what they are letting their children wear then that's just sickening. The manufacturers/stockists should be fined.

Don't get me wrong, I have brough t'shirts with slogans on for my kids, but they say stuff like ' funkiest dude ever', 'my sister did it', 'brother for sale take any offer' but nothing awful IMO.

I think the very worst one I brought was one for Dd1 (8) which says Moody Moo on it with a pic of a cartoon cow.

There is a brilliant in the back of my preganancy and birth mag
"Spit on that tissue and I'm calling social services"

I might even buy it

Blandmum · 07/07/2006 16:56

I bought one for dd this week that read 'Drama queen' (she is 9 btw) but then she is a drama queen. Loved the tee shirt and said to me, 'They didn't do one in your size then?'

She thought it was a funny tee shirt and so did I! LOL

southeastastra · 07/07/2006 16:57

i want the one that says 'jesus is coming, look busy'

nutcracker · 07/07/2006 17:00

LOL see i like that one, it's funny and not rude or demeaning.

Dd1 wanted 'saw it, liked it, stamped my feet and got it' and she even had a mini tantrum over it in BHS so I said look 'you saw it, you wanted it, you've stamped your feet, and thats why your not getting it'

There was a girl at the disco yesterday with 'Spoilt' on her.... why would her parents be proud of that?
