Every toy seems either for age18 months plus and a bit babyish or age 3 plus and therefore possibly not suitable!!! She's into most things!

Tbh most of the things we've bought our two year old say age 3+ but I'm confident that she will be fine with them.
Happyland is great for that age, we first bought it for DDs first birthday and it's played with daily here so we will be adding to it at Xmas.
Also have a wooden kitchen (ikea) and accessories.
Jigsaw puzzles
Dolls pushchair & doll
Bath you

I second happyland, my dd is similar age and she quite happily plays with her big sisters toys (who is 3). Dolls, wooden simple jigsaw puzzles, chunky crayons, mega sketcher, toy Hoover, toot toot cars, leapfrog and vtech do various interactive toys also good for sounding letter sounds familiarisation with alphabet etc. play kitchen is a big hit in our house also x

Happyland all the way! Got DD a house for her 2nd birthday and she played with it loads. Other successes that birthday and Xmas were picture dominoes, tea set, magna doodle and duplo. Lots of her friends got kitchens at that point and kind of regretted not doing that too as all seemed to love them.

Happyland.
The £70 (currently £50) elc kitchen.
Any imagination props really- dressing up hats, play sets with people or animals, toy food. Vehicles, especially with actions like opening doors or a fire engine with a ladder or construction vehicles that tip out etc.
lego duplo.
simple jigsaws with 4-12 pieces.
musical instruments. Elc do good ones.
play dough.
story books or books that show the names of things and concepts like opposites.
Julia Donaldson "one mole digging a hole " book for counting

I am pretty sure Mr Potato Head is for ages 2+ and they play with it for years. I always get it for 2 yr olds' birthdays when I'm not sure if the parents are strict about toy age-ranges. Or if you want a 'big' present, a toy kitchen - we got DS1 one for Christmas when he was 18 months and he used it every day til it fell apart two years later.

Biggest box you can find.
Fill with inflated balloons.

Add pack of felt tip pens to turn box into castle/rocket. Add blanket to turn into den. Add scissors to make windows. Add torch to aid finding toys in box.

Of course, assumes you're not visiting family..

OK. It may not be the most conventional thing but for an outlay of

Forgot to add, Playmobile Noah's Ark is good. (They do more than one and it's the smaller one, about £20 on Amazon).

It is for 18 months plus, we got it for DS2 when he turned one but both he and his older brother (4) play with it a lot.

Duplo. Loads of play value for ages. Says 2-5 but they will get the use. Ds just played with the vehicles / animals etc, less of the building. You make it up for them. Love the circus, or the zoo, or the farm.

How about a mini micro scooter with seat & 2 handle attachment? £75 but again will just keep going & going until dd is about 5! Start with seat in, then move to small 'stick' then to bigger handlebars when taller

Any kind of ride on / push along toy. Try fisher price little people ones ( have little compartment to store teddy etc or a wooden 4 wheeler (see amazon)

Ds just turned 2 and got the ikea kitchen with food and utensils and he loves it. The pans are especially realistic.
Duplo/megabloks are a big hit
Julia Donaldson books are very loved. Likewise the dvds.
And unfortunately so are v tech toot toot cars. (Which I loathe).
He seems to be ambivalent towards soft toys.

For Christmas he's getting a leapfrog leaptop, the ikea circus tent and more duplo stuff.
