How to manage with a baby in a public toilet

I don't have a baby yet but planning to start trying soon. I've now started looking around at everyday situations and wondering how the hell anyone manages to do them with a baby in tow. Number one on the list is public toilets. I have seen some with larger stalls for a pram to fit in and once in my life somewhere there was a special little seat inside the stall that you could strap the baby into. If neither of these options are available, what do you do? Would you use the disabled toilet? Do you leave the baby in the pram outside the stall? Or do you take the baby in with you and somehow hold them while you use the loo? I never sit on a public toilet and I imagine it is pretty difficult to hold a baby whilst hovering to pee, never mind trying to change pads or something like that! Please tell me - how do you manage it? Or will I have to go home every time I need the loo!

Hours of not going to the loo spring to mind!! Not very helpful! I had a Velcro baby as my third and I remember nearly knocking DH's head off when he walked in after work and went to shave when I had not been to the loo for most of the day!

baby keeper, but better yet, just a baby carrier will suffice

Really you are overthinking things. I go shopping with three young dds none of whom I would be happy leaving outside. Just use a disabled toilet.

Everyone I know just uses the disabled loo which has a baby change in it as well. (There are a lot of these doubled up facilities where I live).

I always use the disabled loo and take the pram in. No way on this earth would I leave the baby outside the loo alone. They could be abducted. I can't believe you're worrying about this before even being pregnant though!

Ok, just seen that this is from 2013...

At a push I've just gone with the door open!

This is one of the main reasons I use a sling not a pushchair. Having said that, my baby is now in a backpack carrier - yesterday even the disabled toilets in M&S were a challenge to use while not taking it off my back!

My friend has a double buggy and says that she basically doesn't wee in public ever because there isn't anywhere that fits the buggy in. When she's out with other people it feels luxurious to be able to wee apparently.
