Teething hell - worried about dehydration

Squidger is 14mths - she was ill all yesterday with fever - saw GP who thought was virus and also wants sample Mon am in case of UTI - today the fever has gone but she's dribbling (not like her), off food and now pulling back after an initial suck of milk. Just given ibruprofen again. Hoping if I wait a bit she might be persuaded to dream feed. When do you worry about dehydration? Def fewer wees today - hard to get her to have milk or water. Is this nightmare really teething? It's awful and really worrying Hmm

Is she eating anything at all? Will she chew fruit or cucumber for example?

I was going to suggest cucumber as well.

Could you put a bit of ice in one of those muslin things?

Also try calpol as well. DD is a horrendous teether. I found that when the teeth were moving around ibuprofen worked, when the tooth was actually cutting though calpol worked better.

Hi all - thanks for your ideas. We ended up with a hysterical dd at 4am - she wouldn't even have booby - our out of hours gp service suggested ice cream which did work and numbed her mouth so she could feed...turns out she has tonsillitis and now on antibiotics. The ice cream was a genius suggestion though. They said as long as no vomiting or diarrhoea they can cope with less fluid for a few days. Thanks all x
