Flu jab

I'm taking my almost. 6 and almost 3 year olds for their flu jab/spray tomorrow.
I'm unnerved about it as I met two friends tomorrow who aren't having their children 'done'.
I did ask around when it was offered and the general opinion (doc, mum, DH, etc.) was to go for it.
Having second thoughts. I'm not keen on giving my children medication / chemicals that aren't necessary.

Any thoughts behind those of my mum and DH would be welcomed!

I find this interesting, because when I was pregnant with DD2 I was offered the jab, and decided not to go for it, because the people who had had it seemed to have suffered a lot of side effects. That was four years ago.

DD2 had hers a couple of weeks ago, (she is 3 now) and she was absolutely fine, they did it at the same time as her MMR pre-school boosters. My 5yo hasn't been offered one, and I don't know if I would take it up for her, as she seems more resilient to winter bugs generally.

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer.

Me neither. But I'm a bit anxious about putting chemicals or whatever into them.
