Constant arguing with myself over baby number 4!

I'm driving myself insane over this...I'm extremely broody and wanting baby number 4. I have friends who have said definitely no more for them but I've never had that feeling!
I'm telling myself three really is enough but the feeling won't go away Grin

Mummies of 4, what's it like?

I have 4, aged between 4 and 8. It's brilliant the way they all play, watch the same tv, and watch out for each other, but it is eyewateringly expensive.
I genuinely think the family invitations dry up, as alot of people can't imagine catering for you. Very few people will take 4 kids for a sleepover, so that you and DH can get a break. You need a big car, and holidays are extortionate. If they're close in age, you can't always hand down between them- I have three school blazers the same size- after school activities are a nightmare, as is homework. We are very comfortably off, so I pay for some help, but I am still always busy. Tha laundry is always on the go. the house is never tidy for long.

I love having four. People always remark on them being so close in age. I imagine the dinner table when they bring home partners in future years. They love coming from what is seen nowadays as a big family. I didn't feel done at three, but wasn't brave enough to plan a fourth. I got a huge surprise the day I is covered I was pregnant, but it was a very giggly, joyous day.

i'm really hoping to convince DH to go for a 4th, (although as 2 and 3 are DTs he is concerned we may be 4 and 5!!).

atavistic seems to sum up what most say - busy, lots of laundry, exhausting and expensive but so great to see them play and grow up together.

we have a house and car big enough so the question is mostly are we prepared to sacrifice the holidays/luxuary items for another child.
