What can I do with DS(2)?

I'm 33 weeks pregnant, I have really bad SPD and sacroiliac dysfunction (using crutches most of the time) and find movement incredible painful. I can't lift DS, aged just 2 but on 100th centile and very strong, without horrendous pain, I struggle to get up and down from a chair, getting down on the floor is out of the question. I usually have my DM or DH around to help, but I'm on my own with him all day today and tomorrow. What can I do? At the minute he's on the living room floor with a pile of toys and TV on, but I feel so guilty as he's used to doing stuff! He won't sit and read, he gets bored after about 2 minutes. I can just about get him in and out of the car but he's a bolter and I can't catch/control him if he decides to run off! Please help!

Oh poor you, I am worried this may be the case for me when DC2 is created. DH i fairly immobile at the moment having had an op a few weeks ago. He is doing lots of reading with DS and word games with his books. He is also playing him lots of loud music and encouraging him to dance. He is singing songs with actions they can both do and using his iPhone to show him pictures of us on daytrips.

Thanks for replying! I remembered that yesterday my niece's school was closed so asked SIL for help - she was more than happy to, and DS enjoyed a fab afternoon chasing squirrels in the park with his cousin, he came home shattered! Today we've started off snuggled on the sofa, my aunt is going to take him while I go to the GP then keep him for a couple of hours and take him to the park. I feel bad that he's not spending time with ME, but at least he's getting fresh air and exercise each day. Thank god for my relatives, I don't know what I'd do without them. Probably just die of guilt.

Will drawing/colouring hold his attention? We tend to spend a lot of time with colouring books and my DS ordering asking me to draw certain things. We have an aquadoodle too, which is a great novelty.

Has he got any of the matchbox/hotwheels cars? Building ramps of varying sizes and whizzing cars down them or building jumps for them also seem to buy him a fair amount of entertainment.
