Toddler waking and the clocks changing

DD (22mo), usually sleeps 6.30pm - 7.30am. The last two weeks she has been waking at 6am, but is not her usual chipper morning self - is crying and huffing. I dont know what is causing it.

What Im dreading is the clocks changing. Suddenly, that almost ok 6am becomes a painful 5am. I get in from work at 11.30pm so it all means a painfully short nights sleep.

What can I do to prepare?

Can you or whoever puts her to bed put her to bed a bit later?

Do you have any idea why she's changed her routine?

Maybe introduce a night light if you don't already have one. It's so dark in the mornings now she might not be able to entertain herself if she can't see properly.

Not much. Just shift the whole day's schedule a few days either side. Remember - everything will change not just the morning wake up time.
Is she teething? Is she warm enough? Is the heating coming on and waking her? The radiators in DD's room (she's 22 months) is quite noisy when it kicks in!

The temperature may well be a factor as her hands were cool when I went into her this morning. Ill turn it up a few notches in there.

That's a very early bed time - maybe she just doesn't need quite as many hours sleep - we shifted ds bedtime back and it did help ....

Yes, I could try pushing it back, but she does ask to.go to bed so Im.wary of keeping her up much past that.
