does it work or not cos i know loads of people who have tried medised and calpol and said it didn't work, so was thinking of getting this instead for when the time comes.

It's worth trying both (one at a time of course) as not all children respond in the same way to all medicines. Calpol totally knocks my ds out, but has no effect on dd, and Nurofen sorts her out but has minimal effect on ds.

Get 'em all, just in case!

Calpol works for ds...but Medised has so far failed us ( and he also seems to be immune from it's fabled ability to "aid restful sleep" )

pretty candles you can actually use calpol and nurofen together as one has paracetomol and one has ibuprofen so the ingredients do not affect one another.

Yes I know, and have done so for fever once, but to find out which works better for your child for pain when you'll be giving one-off doses rather than trying to keep them (ahem) drugged-up, you need to try the medicines individually otherwise you can't tell which has the best effect.
