I think there are but they only have 10 posts about every three years so they come here in their miniscule numbers

expatinscotland · 29/06/2006 15:54

My DH asked me this . He actually posted on here once when I left a discussion about boys clothing on screen - he 'kicked off' a bit but he did say he was my DH and not me

singledadofthree · 29/06/2006 15:58

nah - would be far too dull - no gossip, bitchin' and such...but expat ,,,hope you don't mean girlie mags

southeastastra · 29/06/2006 16:06

they would spend hours dissecting baby buggys

Helenemjay · 29/06/2006 16:20

Lol my dp has aked me once or twice, i figured it probably wouldnt be used for much really, the only time my dp is online is when he is looking up stuff about games/films or porn [tut tut tut] - (of course he thinks im unaware of the porn thing

maybe he was going to use it as cover then?

Helenemjay · 29/06/2006 16:53

He does take quite an interest in mumsnet sometimes and aks me to ask questions for him as he doesnt feel he can (why, i dont know!)

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 29/06/2006 16:54

introduce him to some of the mn men

Helenemjay · 29/06/2006 16:58

I will suggest that to him - good idea!

OP posts:
Gingeme · 29/06/2006 17:01

That sounds lie a realy good idea. My dh and I often talk about the stuff I chat about on here and hell say ooh I wonder what her dh thinks of that? I might introduce him too

beanandboo · 29/06/2006 19:13

Ummm, couldn't mn add 'dadsnet' under topics or something?

I think that's a good idea, having a Dadsnet topic. As long as it didn't prevent them from posting under other topics. I like hearing the man's perspective, but also like the fact that this is essentially a women's site.

marthamoo · 29/06/2006 19:19

His website was funny though. You'd get a Dad posting with a heartfelt query - angst with wife, trouble adjusting to fatherhood etc. and then reponses would be like - "Yeah, mate, it's bad, innit?" "You wanna go down the pub." "Did you see the footie?" and stuff like that.

OK, I'm exaggerating but the advice wasn't as in depth as Mumsnet, that's for sure

beanandboo · 29/06/2006 19:27

Definately wouldn't want to discourage any blokes from posting on general topics just that once in a while they might appreciate a bit of male-orientated space to chat/get advice/bitch etc.

WideWebWitch · 29/06/2006 19:29

It's called FathersDirect and Tom from there used to post here. Their talk board wasn't that busy from what I could gather. Tom was (is prob but he hasn't posted here for ages) eloquent and worth reading.

marthamoo · 29/06/2006 19:31

Tom. I wasn't far off with John, was I?

JustineMumsnet · 29/06/2006 19:35

Hello,
Hot news: we are going to add a Dads topic - agreed it last meeting. Just waiting for those good-for-nowt techs to get their **es in gear (no way they'll venture as far as the parenting boards - so should be safe writing that)
Thanks as ever for the input.

JJMumsnet · 29/06/2006 20:42

What about this ?

And our last meeting to which Justine refers was just last Monday, I'll have you know.

schneebly · 29/06/2006 20:46

OOh good idea but a little scared of what DH might get up to! He has very strong opinions!
