Bright ideas re party games for 3 yo's birthday?

Just wanting to pick your brains.. ds is three on 18/7. Having a party with about 11 kids ages from baby to five yo (I know this is probably a bad idea but too late to change my mind now). Was thinking about pass the parcel and blu-tack the tail on the donkey. Do you think that would work? Any other suggestions?

Thank you!

Don't do musical bumps or any form of "elimination" game - everyone that age cries...
A drawing competition with lots of prizes can work.

I had same age range for DD's 2nd birthday. We also did musical bumps, musical statues and sleeping lions (saved that one for before the food).

Musical bumps
Skittles (decorated loo roll tubes & foam balls)
Target practice (throw foam ball into box)

Making animal masks and then singing Old Macdonald worked well for us.

ring a ring a roses
farmers in his den
oranges and lemons
sleeping lions

only problems I had were with DS - and I think that was partially issues around it being DD's birthday. I did pass the parcel first though with one layer per child and a sweet in each layer. So everyone had already got something. It was pretty chaotic mind you and I accidentally ended up with my 14 month old nephew who couldn't even walk winning musical bumps.

What's the time Mr wolf?

Yes both would work - did them with my DS who was 3 and had his party last weekend. Another one we did - pinched from a friend who did it at her DS 3rd birthday party - half A4 sheets of card/stiff paper with 6 different colour squares attached - 'hide' squares around the rooms they can get access to easily and they have to collect one of each colour on their board - each kid got a sticker once they had completed their board.

Hokey cokey, lots of singing games, Simon says - you don't have to eliminate children, they just like playing.

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions. Oh, I remember my daddy playing What's the time, Mr Wolf?! Will see if I can talk dh into it. And ring a ring a roses might be good too.

have a treasure hunt. Make a treasure chest with a shoe box wrapped in brown paper with gold card strips to look like a chest. fill with chocolate coins. write out little clues to hide around the house, put each clue in envelope with chocolate coin attached, and divide up the spoils when the kids find it. worked great at DS' 3rd birthday party. And if you're struggling to find chocolate money at this time of year - I still have tons of it left as went a bit overboard when buying, lol.

obviously will need grown-up to read clue
