on Friday, the 20th oct I picked my 3yr old daughter up from nursery Lacey doesn't speak well but told mean her own way that her arm was hurting, she was also distressed and full of cold and not herself.
I phoned the school to ask if anything had happened, they said a boy had stood on her hand by accident. Hmmmm.... Anyway doctor said it was viral and to administer usual pain killers.
Monday the 23rd oct she was still no Better so I took her again, nothing again.
On Tues I took her to school due to doctors diagnosis she had swimming and then on wed she was still bad with her arm so much so that I took her to A&E guess what?
Broken collarbone snapped clean in two. 5 days my beautiful baby had been in pain!! I almost sobbed right then and there.
Naturally I phoned the school and the doctors and told them and the school teachers came round that same day to see how she was, I arranged a meeting at gp's with GP and practice manager which was on Monday 30th sept
Here they apologised, today the 2nd October the HV came round and saw Lacey due to A&E visit when I asked her if social services would also be contacted she said she didn't know! I don't get that if it's her who does the referral in the first place? I know I haven't done anything, nor has the school, so what happens now??
Sorry for the long post but I've hit my fill level of stress right now and can't deal with anymore just at the moment.

What an awful thing to have happened to your dd! Hmm

Tbh though, I would think the hv is coming to see how you are rather than checking up on you.
I expect she was hoping to be a friendly face, with a medical background that could answer any questions you may have been too stressed to think of at the hospital, and just offer reassurance and advice.

Hope your dd is feeling better soon.

I think it's standard practice for a HV to make contact after an A&E visit.
Don't worry about it.
Hope your dd recovers quickly.

It's standard after a trip to A&E.

Your poor DD.
