When does the NOISE stop?!

Seriously, is it just me? I have two DDs, 3.9 and 18months and they are so bloody noisy! All day it's loud talking, loud arguing and stomping up and down the hallway! DD2 doesn't talk yet, but she is very vocal with squeals and other noises.

The thing is they're pretty well behaved, and I feel like I'm constantly nagging them to quieten down a bit! I live in a semi and am paranoid about the noise my lovely elderly neighbours have to endure. DH has just taken them for a walk on the field and they've come back even noisier!!

Please tell me it gets better?!

I remember when my DD got on her feet and found her vocal cords and my DS would have been nearly 4. I couldn't stand the noise.

It is because the two of them bouncing off each other is new.

It took a long time to get used to it, maybe a year or more but im totally used to it now. I hardly notice.

I now have a 1 yr old DS, DD is 3.9 and DS1 is 6. I don't feel the noise annoys me as much now even though it is obviously even louder in here.

Maybe i've lost some of my hearing Hmm

Never.

When they move out Grin

Honestly, my almost 5yo is creating so much noise on her own that I sometimes have to leave the room to be able to think. She talks to herself while playing, makes animal noises (barking and howling atm - she's a dog) and when she's painting she is singing, top volume.

My teens make even more noise. When any of them have friends round it descends into noise chaos.

Sorry for the bad news Wink

Oh, we had sound proofing put in all the walls to the neighbours, walls needed replastering anyway. Peace of mind where neighbours are concerned.

SummerRain · 01/10/2013 20:59

It doesn't. Mine are 4, 7 and 8 and noisier than ever.

I'm seriously contemplating ear defenders

InsertBoringName · 01/10/2013 21:03

Nooo!!! It can't get worse can it? MrsZimt can I be cheeky and ask if the soundproofing was expensive?

Sometimes I hope that DD2 will somehow get less noisy when she learns to talk...then I look at DD1 Grin

My DS is nearly 7, honestly he's just got louder and louder and louder and LOUDER . Hmm

MrsZimt · 01/10/2013 21:42

We used this

and needed a pallet for our semi. Plus the cost of fitting it to the walls and replastering.
We lived in a rented semi before and never heard the neighbours thanks to this type of soundproofing. So when we moved into our wreck, we factored it in.

Yes, definitely when they move out.
They also make noise later at night, and of course are a lot heavier when they leap down the stairs, etc.
