Wasn't quite sure which category this suited best but figured since you're all parents, someone must know the answer.

I'm feeling poorly, not just a sniffle and can crack on. Totally wiped out. I've had a migraine type headache for nearly 6 days and my whole upper body feels like lead. I've really struggled with my DS (9m) today. What are the rules with dh getting time off to help??

Ordinarily I'm really a get on and shut up kinda girl but I'm really struggling today so was just wondering as dh spoke to his boss and was told they don't have enough cover on a sat for him to leave early.

Surely there must be some rules in place?? I don't have anyone to call in to help - my mum recently passed away and dh mum isn't interested in DS so he screams every time he sees her cos he doesn't know her.

Please don't just tell me to wind my neck in and get on - honestly I've just literally watched DS trash the living room cos I physically couldn't move or pick him up for long.

Here

All employees are entitled for time off to care for sick dependants, in an emergency. Dependant can be a child or a spouse. The leave is unpaid and it's up to dh & his employer to decide what constitutes an emergency
