I have bf my ds of 11 months to sleep and find it a lovely natural calm way to get him to sleep. Yes he does wake twice or more a night and yes I am knackered but I enjoy doing it. It is a special bond we have.
Does anyone else do it and have no intentions of stopping regardless what anyone else says? I can't be the only one. Dont get me wrong I would love him to sleep through but I can't leave him to cry. My dp is great about it and is happy most days to be a zombie like me. All my friends think I am nuts. Not asking for any help I know just nice to hear like minded ladies who feel the same

Soyo. I am back to work in the morning. Still going to feed morning and night. I introduced a bottle a few months ago just one a day. He got use to it with the help of cbeebies. He was distracted by the songs thanks Mr bloom! !! I use to work full time but going part time so only 3 part days. I was going to express but he has started the last week with cows milk so me at night and during the day and our lovely feeds at night.
Wishing all a happy feeding night xx

Good luck LRM, I'm dreading going back now as it gets closer but I'm sure once we're in the swing of it it'll be great. Good idea on distraction for he bottle, I'll try and sneak it in while Peppa's on!

I bfed DS1 to sleep until he was just over 2, yes he also woke every 3 hours or so during the night for a comfort feed and yes i was knackered, but I'd do the same for DS2 if it comes to it (he's a snuggly 16 weeks just now :-D )

They're only babies for such a short while, I want to get as many snuggles in as I can, the time goes by so so quickly. So, no, you're not alone :-)

I still BF DD2 to sleep some nights when she was in junior school, it's a beautiful thing to do, Whether your DC is a baby or not.

Just because they feed to sleep, doesn't mean they won't settle for DH or a babysitter when your not there or, when older, simply too busy to feed them.

Nor does FFing mean they will sleep through the night, DD1 didn't and she was impossibly wriggly to co sleep with. DD2 would BF and go to sleep beside me so I could too! If she woke up you lost 15 minutes sleep DD1 took 30 minutes to an hour to get back to sleep.

Yep! Still doing it with my two almost 14-month-olds... Why wouldn't I?! It's the lazy option Smile (DS1 grew out of it about 18m)
