Will you be giving your toddler the flu vaccine?

They are offering it to two and three year olds from this year - is anyone going to get the vaccine for their child? I'm not sure my dd would sit there and let someone squirt something up her nose! On the other hand if it protects her and any vulnerable people she comes into contact with then maybe it's a good thing?

I would if they weren't too old.

Whole family had the swine flu jab when it was offered.

Yes, I will. I think people underestimate flu (as a result o people saying they have flu when they have a sniffle). It's a horrible disease and if I can protect DS form it I will. I'm also thinking about buying him a chicken pox jab.

Ours are too old, but no. Dh always gets it as he is a GP - you don't really want your doctor going off with flu!

I have a rare neurological illness that has been linked (not in my case) to the flu vaccine. We've decided not to have dc vaccinated until they can decide for themselves as there may be a genetic component. If we were talking about pandemic flu it might be different, but not in an ordinary year.
