How much does the tooth fairy leave in your house?

DS hasn't lost any teeth yet but lots of his class have. His BF got £1 for the first tooth - but I have heard stories about much greater amounts being left.

Just wondering what the norm is.

Not sure what the going rate is now, but I used get get 50p. I think it should be a coin rather than notes, so I'd leave £1 for a normal tooth and £2 for a molar!

one of my colleagues arrived at work one morning apoplectic with rage as her dds best friend had received a tenner from the tooth fairy! She does £2 coins as they feel slightly special

Some friends of mine only had either coppers or a £2 coin when their dd1 first lost a tooth and were very resentful, it set a precedent and their dd1 was assiduous in making sure they kept to it and kept it up for her two sisters too.

The TF is crap in this house. Very tardy - can sometimes take up to a week to turn up.

Therefore £2. Mostly guilt money I reckon.

£2 usually. £4 recently when DS had to have two baby teeth extracted to allow adult teeth to grow. Was very brave and price was agreed between him and the dentist!

the tooth fairy nearly didnt turn up last night and i had to sneak through at 6.30am this morning and hope I didnt wake dd! Her tooth had been sitting on my bedside cabinet for a few days prior to that too.
