When did you move baby out of your room?

Just that really. I know the guidelines and I know a few friends who moved theirs much much earlier. Wondering how common it is? Am tempted to move DD to the next door room once her head control is decent rather than wait the full 6 months as its having a very negative affect on my DS having her in with us.

Twins still bed sharing at 7 months, nice to be close and I don't need to get out of bed to feed them so get a bit more sleep!

Ds was about 7 weeks, he was too big for the Moses basket (and did a humongous poo all over it so had no choice but to move him out of it) and our room at the time was too small for his cot as well as our bed.

Dd was nearly 5vmo. She was smaller than ds so stayed in the basket longer, and we'd moved by then so our room was more than big enough for the cot. Her room wasn't decorated (no carpet, no paint, no curtains) so was unusable. When she was moved, it was a relief because we kept disturbing her every time we went to bed, to the loo or even rolled over. She slept much better in her own room.

Co-sleeping was a no-no for lots of reasons.

7 weeks With hindsight it seems so early, but at the time it seemed the right decision.

There are strong decisions all ways on this topic, all you can do is read the guidance and make your own informed decision.

Ds is still in with me and hes 2.5. This was purely because he still wakes up all through the night and can open any friggin stairgate we have tried to put on his doorway. So safer until he starts to sleep properly to stay put was my thinking.

12 weeks for each (when they outgrew the Moses Basket)

Almost everyone I know moved them into their own room when they outgrew the basket.

They both slept much better as soon as they went to their own room.

All 3 DC have been in a cot in their own rooms from the start.

At 2 weeks old; we all slept much better! No regrets and plan to do the same with next baby.

8 months.
The nursery wasn't decorated until then despite DH promising it would be ready before she was born. Eventually I pointed out that when I went back to work the alarm would go off at 6am, waking her if she was still in our room and then she would be his responsibility. He didn't want to be getting up at 6am with her when she would otherwise sleep for another hour or 2 so he finally finished it.

10 weeks , she started banging her arms and legs off the sides of her Moses basket and we thought she'd be more comfortable in her cot

Just over 7months - would have been 6 but we were away on holiday so decided to make the move one night after we got home.
Baby didn't / doesn't mind one bit!
Took me a few days to adjust though !!
