SAHMs - what is your weekly routine?

There is a good possibility that I won't have to return to work and can be a SAHM for a few years. I am hoping to get DS1 into pre school early for 2 morning a week. But looking for suggestions on how to fill week. DS1 is 2.3 and DS2 is 10 months. There age means that they like and enjoy different things so need ideas for both that the other one will be happy with!! Smile

Swimming
Music classes where siblings are welcome
Park park park park...and more parks! Every day we go to a park, different ones to keep me going...
Playdates with new and old friends
Gardening
Cooking (little one watches in high chair with something interesting to chew)
Walks in the rain are essential.
Library - story times and rhyme times

Just getting outside every day makes a massive difference to the vibe of the day.

Enjoy!

I aim to get out early (9ish) most days, then little one sleeps and bigger one entertained. Home for lunch at 12, then play at home/garden in the afternoon or short outing. Typical morning activities include, library for story time, park, playgroup, big shops (clothes or supermarket) typical afternoon activities include library to change books, play in the garden, cooking/baking, quick trip to shops, toys, painting, bit of tv etc.

At least once a week i see friends either at our house or theirs, adult conversation is vital IMO.

Thanks for the input guys; it's the adult conversations I think I'll miss the most and using my brain Confused

Every morning we walk the dog. If we have no activity planned we stop at the park on the way home. We go to rhymetime and softplay once per week. We walk with a friend and her LO once per week so have a playdate afterwards. If no softplay or rhymetime then we do errands. Lunch is followed by naptime when I do a quick tidy and prep dinner. Then we play in garden or with toys indoors, go out in trike with doggie again and then Daddy comes home for dinner.

Mums and toddler groups - there are loads of them around, check your local churches. Both your lo's will enjoy those and you'll get the chance to meet other mums and have some adult company. Soft play centres - the nice small ones where your lo won't get trampled by hordes of wild children, and the library are good place too. Parks, the shops - good to get them used to, or they end up 4yo and complaining "but shops are boring, Mummy!"...

Hi Space

This is sooo strange but both my boys are exactly the same age as your boys!!! And DS1 will also be starting preschool 2 mornings a week from September (you are living my life) lol!

We follow a very redgimented routine. If we deter too much from this I end up with two very winy boys.
Ds1 doesn't nap anymore but DS2 has one 2hour nap a day so we try schedual all our planned activities so that we have a full two hour period where he can have his nap comfertably in his bed. This also give me a chance to spend one on one time with DS1 doing craft sort of activities. Or playing with his big boy toys (tiny bits too dangerous to have out while DS2 is crawling around)

We have one major activity planned each day. we fill in any gaps in the day with meeting friends for walks DS1 on scooter, feeding ducks, park sometimes on our own. We also do one trip to the supermarket usually on a Friday. They both love this as they each get a special treat and DS1 enjoys putting items in the trolley and being educated on what each item is. but most of all he loves helping at the self scan checkout
Monday 2 hour playgroup session
Tuesday music group (suitable for both ages)
Wednesday playgroup session
Thursday play date (childminder friends house)
Friday toddlersplash

Hope this helps

Excuse the typos
Very late night yawn yawn
