How often do you bath your children?

When DD was newborn we were told by HV to bathe her every two or three days. She is now 7mo and we have been bathing her every other day for the last 5 months or so.

I think she should have a bath every day now but DH doesn't agree. Other friends seem to bathe their children daily and I get the impression that DH is trying to limit it to a bath every other day because he is the one who has to bathe DD and he gets home he late so it's a hassle for him and he'd rather not have the responsibility every evening.

(We have agreed that when I stop BFing she will definitely have a bath every night before bed as part of her bedtime routine. ATM, she goes down really well every night with a bedtime breastfeed.)

She has a shower every day Gobo, just a very, very quick one, after swimming.

A proper bath, playing, hair wash etc, half an hour soak etc ... once a week.
We live in Spain though, it is a bit hot for baths right now!

Weekly baths here. Clean clothes everyday, hands and face washed as necessary in between...all good :-)

I'd say anything from daily to weekly is normal and fine unless they smell sooner (eg once puberty arrives in another 10 years)...just do what suits your family, unless a friend has a quiet word(!)

Hooray... another weekly bather!

Dd is 22 mths - 2-3 times a week. I'm working on the theory that too clean will mean she isn't building immunity to general 'stuff'. A bit of 'muck' isn't going to kill them!! Clearly if its been a particularly mucky day then of course she gets an extra bath. Sometime think we have become over sensitive to the cleanliness 'thang' - 3 times a day???

Daily for our 4.5 month old - initially we tried to do it less, but he is a very dribbly and sweaty little chap (who knew that babies could get smelly feet?).

DD is 2 yo and we bathe her every couple of days and wash her hair once a fortnight. Baths really cause her eczema to flair up though and even a bath two days in a row starts it flairing up. We just wipe her down with a cloth on non bath days and she is fine.

Daily bath here, as part of the evening routine. We rarely use any soap unless washing her hair (when required 1-2 times a week). DD (21mo)sometimes needs a lot of pursuading to get OUT of the bath!

Every day at the moment as dd2 (19m) is a bit bath obsessed, and as she hated baths before we're seizing the opportunities! Until about 3 weeks ago it was twice a week maybe.

DD1 (5) needs hauling out of the bath with a big hook. She'd live in there.

Every day here, originally as part of a bedtime routine but now out of necessity because DS (2.8) attracts dirt like a magnet

Every day. Dd is 9mo and crawling and gets totally grubby [terrible housewife emoticon], and she is looked after by my dm at their farmhouse 2days a week and that's worse. She also mooshes food into her hair, her ears and her neck crevices. She drops food into the high chair seat and squelches that into her bottom and legs (tonight before bath we noticed her legs smelled of garlic!?). Fortunately she loves a good soak in the tub.

She also enjoys a shower if we're in a rush.
