Daily contact with NRP?

Hi all.

Trying to work out a reasonable agreement for contact between baby (unborn currently) and ex, who wants to be as involved as possible, so trying to get my thoughts sorted out before talking to him.

I want baby to have a relationship with his father's family who are overseas, so thought about suggesting a weekly skype session, commitment to sending regular photos, chance to spend time with them when they visit the UK, and working up to holidays with them in a few years time.

With the father though it is harder. My provisional thinking is saying 2 midweek contact sessions, nursery to bedtime, then a weekend day, or as much of one as is possible until ready for a whole day. Think he will want daily phone call/skype on days he does not see baby. It does not seem much trouble, but would I be creating problems for the future to agree? I do want time of my own with the baby as well! Suggestions welcome.

Daly phone calls would meld my head - the baby isn't going to be able to talk. So it'll all be down to you. And Skype everyday would give him a lot of access to and knowledge about your life.

Can you get some legal advice?

Daily phone calls would start to seem very intrusive I would have thought.

How would you feel if you where the NRP? Would you still want to see your baby daily? Could you arrange to send him a photo or short film say on snapchat or something like that? That way you don't have to talk to him but he still gets to feel part of his son/daughters life.

It's not about how the NRP feels, it's about what is best for the child. Daily phone calls can be disruptive and cause the child to miss the other parent more than if they didn't get to speaks to them so much.

Which is why i suggested a picture or short film off a free app on smart phones. Also it is about the NRP's feelings just as it is also about the RP's feelings.
