or maybe my now 3yr old dd was just an angel, my ds only just turned one, he has a lovely charismic personality but... - he is also so strong and a bit of a bully,he hits and bites, and it he is told off he thinks it is funny, he squeals when he wants his own way, he climbs up on everything, complete and utter mischief, he has seen his older sister throw tanties and he tends to copy her. I want to be the Are boys just little demons?? Any advice, I dont want to let him continue his way into being an obnoxious tot.........

hehehe sorry gravity, no words of wisdom here, just letting you know you're not alone! (see my earlier post). ds also just turned 1 and is everywhere he shouldn't be, doing everything he shouldn't be doing.

as others have said to me, it's just their way of understanding their place in the world - exploring it, understanding it, etc. ime boys are more physical than girls - not happy to sit and play - need to get involved with everything. maybe that's why you're finding it tougher this time?

good luck, and 's a hand to hold Smile

reaching over the big ocean between us to hold that hand in good luck!!! Smile

It doesn't get any better ladies Grin

My ds is 18months and a total terror!! Again I thought it was because dd (4.6) was such a good baby/toddler but this boy of mine is a nightmare!!! He pulls chairs across the floor to get what he wants, the poor gerbils are never ever safe even though they are on a shelf, he climbs up on his red chair and growls through the wire cage at them :( He also hits and laughs when I say "ow". I have told him no and he laughs. He opens the fridge, the cupboards, drinks his juice/water and spits it out, easts custard and then spits it out.. puts his full dinner plate on his head if you don't watch him like a hawk... I have had to get door locks and fridge locks, I have to watch him constantly, I can't even make the dinner without watching him endlessly. He throws toys from the toy box right over his shoulder and doesn't play with them..it's just to get wrecking Shock

But...he has eyes like swimming pools, and such kissable chubby cheeks, he has his daddies smile and I melt when he looks at me and smiles... who cares that the doors are dangling from their hinges and that the gerbils are about to have a coronary arrest... he's my gorgeous blue eyed boy and I wouldn't change him for the world!!!!

gravity · 15/06/2006 11:17

agreed again - i wouldnt change my boy for the world..... he too has the eyes that will make girls go week at the knees Grin

I thin both genders come in all sorts. DD is 3 and DS is just 1. DD is absolutely the terror in the house. DS is commonly known as "Angel Boy". They are just little people with varying personalities.

gravity · 15/06/2006 11:22

ouch!! they surely are.... little people with big teeth that dig into mummy toes too!!

gravity, your ds sounds exactly like mine! DS2 is 16 months and has caused more trouble than DS1 and DD put together! For instance, yesterday morning he managed to climb on to dining room table, smear a kiwi fruit everywhere, then he stuffed a whole packet of wet wipes down the loo before pouring a bottle of cooking oil over himself and the kitchen floor!!

He bites too (although he was egged on by DS1) and runs away laughing when he manages to make DD cry.

I hope he grows out of it soon but I'm not holding my breath! Grin
