Hey peeps, looking for survival tips!

I would like to know how anybody with 2 children survived the early days. DS2 is 5 weeks old and my mum has left after helping me for a few weeks. Tomorrow is my first day on my own with DS1 (3 yr old) and DS2 (colicky, clingy, constipated, cute).

I know other people cope admirably, but I am, frankly, useless at times. So I would love to hear your gems of how you survived. All help welcomed, I am not proud xxxx

A sling so I had my hands free and could chase DS.

Lots of DVDs and a popcorn machine.

Nursery.

It does honestly get easier.

A sling.
Cbeebies
Being out of the house as much as possible - park, playgroup, library.

I found it easiest to get out and about lots as dd2 was easily portable and slept in the car seat / buggy, and it was easier to entertain ds1 by going places. I shamelessly overused soft play centres (the smaller ones where I could sit and feed dd2 but still see ds1 on the equipment) and cbeebies (particularly for feed times) and disney dvds. It hasn't been hard to wean ds1 off all the extra tv but it made my life a lot easier at the time! I also read to ds1 while feeding dd2 when I was feeling more adventurous.
