Baby won't go in buggy, need advice

Morning all
Need some advice. Have 2 ds, 18 months and 5 weeks. We have a double buggy (side by side) and the baby just screams the minute he's put in it until he's taken out. I generally resort to the sling for travelling around with him. However, I really need him to be able to go in the buggy and ideally sleep in it! Does anyone have any advice or tips? I don't mind using sling but its not ideal all the time and he needs to get used to buggy. He won't take a dummy despite persevering. I think part of the problem is that he doesn't sleep on his back but his side/front as he isn't comfy on his back. Help!

It's a pain that you can't half recline it. I know he's only tiny but I think I'd try sitting upright but propped up so he can't slump down.

Is your sling comfy for you? It might be a phase which he grows out of in which case the sling would be better for the short term, but if you find it uncomfortable then that's not great. Someone might be able to find a better one for you?

Hi - just worth mentioning that their vision is quite limited and not very coordinated at this age - eg tracking moving things - my dd was the same at this age but then happier later on - then another phase of unhappy...now loves the buggy. I would just bear with the sling for now - you will get naps in the buggy soon but no point making it stressful now - their memory is quite limited too so it's not like a little baby will remember and manipulate the situation - at this young age they just want to smell mummy nearby, especially when everything is so new and confusing.
