Teething rings

What's the best teether for a 4 month old?
I'm not 100% sure that ds is teething although some of the signs are there.

He keeps trying to shove everything in his mouth MIT most things are too big. He's only just getting the hand of grasping things, mainly the rings hanging off the hands of his Lamaze robot.

I need something smallish that he can hold that can be chewed on not not like the hard plastic rings but also not something that will hurt when he smacks himself in the face with it whilst flinging it around.

Sophie the giraffe. Seems a bit pricey but you won't need anything else!

I use the RazBerry teethers. They're like dummies. We use the Tippee teethers.

Actually we use these as dummies when we're desperate; all dc have been dummy free.

Nuby keys, and a gumigem necklace. My 8mo has 4 coming at the moment - the necklace is always clean and to hand, the keys can go in the freezer which he loves!

We have a Sophie the Giraffe for my 4 month old - she loves it! It's small enough for her little hands to hold, and is soft with different textures.

Sophie, my ds has had a Sophie since the early days and it has been the favourite toy ever since, always in his mouth :)

We had a Sophie too and he loved it, but he's gone off her lately. He's now moved onto the Nuby Bug-a-loop teether, which you can get in Boots, his little cousin loves that one too and it's always getting stolen...

Gumigem necklace or bangle

The little Sophie with the handles, and the Razberry, were the first tethers my dd could actually hold herself.
