Have you ever used (or contemplated using) garden fleece as a nappy liner?

Or is this a really stupid idea?

They are both (ie liners and garden fleece) made of polypropelene, and looking at the two together they're very similar. I'm not sure about putting it against ds's bottom though! But we've got acres of garden fleece and have run out of liners ... any thoughts on whether I should give it a go?

What's garden fleece Blush.

DD has liners made of fleece that I've got from ebay (although you could do the same thing with a fleece blanket cut up).

They're great when she does solid poos as the poo just peels or shakes off Grin.

Garden fleece is something different, the name is confusing because it is not like fleece material at all. It is much more like flushable liners or the inner layer of a disposable nappy.

If they look the same, feel the same and are made of the same stuff, what's the problem?

Just looking for a bit of reassurance before I put i on ds's delicate bot, soupy! Thought that someone might say "argh no, they put mustard powder on it to keep the slugs off" or summat.
