Are you living in London or are you there on holiday and want to do more touristy stuff?

Don't put pressure on yourself to be going out and doing. I have spent the last three years tearing round baby/toddler groups and activities only to have my eyes opened.

DD just turned 3 last month has had chicken pox and 2 very stubborn blisters have only just scabbed yesterday. We have been in the house other than walks and trips to family three times for nearly two weeks. She has been perfectly happy hasn't asked to go places, admittedly at first she was off colour but for the last week has been fine. She used to wake me up at about 5.30 with "where are we going today Mummy?"

This fool has learnt her lesson.

I can post my only child who is also 3 to you so he has a play mate? Grin

I wouldn't worry too much as at 3 they are able to play alone and happy just been in the garden or a park.

I take mine for a pub meal on a Tuesday as Kids eat for £1 at my local pub. It has a park at the side of it too.

Tbh he is happiest when he is on his scooter in the street.

Not in London and do agree with the others that you shouldn't feel the need to go out e every day. I can appreciate that you might want a bit of company though Smile

The museums do sound like a great suggestion. They might even have free activities for toddlers and preschoolers. See if your library has things like story time too. Your local pool might also do some family swimming sessions too, some even do swimming sessions aimed at under 5s, ours are called aquatots.

Check out MN local too. There may be meet ups, suggestions of places to go and even a friendship bench.

Give him an empty box and other bit to entertain himself. 3 year olds ate great at keeping themselves busy if given the chance and its good for them to learn to keep themselves happy!

We are based c London. Same age.

We do the museums and some activities but majority of the time if spent in the parks ie Hyde park/ holland park just playing with sticks/ climbing trees and running about. In this nice weather the paddling pool at Hyde park lido is nice and the Diana fountain can be paddled in.
We invite people to join either out or at our house. Picnics most days in summer.
Most parks have sand pits in London so bucket and spades. Scooter / bike in parks.

I visited the Nat His Mus last friday with my 3 yr old. State school holidays hadn't even started and there was a 200 m queue out the door. Had a lovely visit nonetheless though the museum was boiling hot surprisingly but be prepared to wait.

Maritime Museum in greenwich is v kid friendly and free. Park is lovely though a bit scorched.

DLR is loved by all kids and most adults if they get to sit right at the front.

Coram Fields

Princess Diana memorial fun park (that's not the name but something like that)

Never been to either but they seem to be rated.

Anywhere that has sand or water.

Give her a DIY project in the house.
