Did you have a Gulliver Ikea cot that you adjusted for co sleeping?

I am thinking of putting the baby into a Gulliver cot instead of a moses basket from birth. I thought this would help with breastfeeding.

I remember with dd1 and dd2, that lifting them out and then back into the moses basket wasn't the easiest.

How do I adjust it so it is safe for a newborn?

Hey there - I've done this for DD, she's only 10wks at the moment and doesn't wiggle too far atm.

I just left the one side out when putting it together and have it wedged between wall and bed - the cot mattress is just a wee bit higher than our mattress so I have a rolled up sheet there for the time being. It was quite a lot sturdier than I had imagined.

It's working a treat so far - since she's aligned with the foot of the cot, I've used the top end as a bedside-table of sorts with a high-sided tray holding the pump, box of tissues, etc. Nothing large or heavy of course.

I roll her over to me at night for feeding and then just put her back in after - I'm able to keep a hand on her chest for comfort and she drops back to sleep instantly. I expect when she's a little bigger/wigglier we'll just attach the side and shift the cot - and she has the consistency of the same bed/mattress.
