Hi, DD started training at Easter Boot camp and started really well - we then hit a plateau for about 3 weeks where we got no better and she still never asked to go until it was too late. I then went away for a few days and she became quite distressed about it and started weeing and pooing everywhere and just screamed if put on potty (proper tears and seemed really freaked out) so.... we put her back in nappies. She has asked a few times to go to the toilet and has done a few poos on potty but is generally much happier. Does this mean she just wasn't ready or do you think I gave in at the wrong time. I am happy to try again in a few weeks but am not sure what signs to look for, as I thought she was ready last time. Any advice gratefully received Grin

Just to say hi, and wishing you luck. It's odd... as you may remember I was in the easter boot camp too, and dd cracked wees in a week. poos we are literally this week starting to crack. they are now mainly ending up in loo as opposed to pants, although there are a lot of false alarms where either nothing or clearly the start of a then held back poo touches the pants. she went through 5 pairs of pants today which is as many as at the peak of potty training but no real poos in them, just big skids and stuff.

i was getting so frustrated, but it clearly just clicks suddenly, and i have no doubt that one day when you are potty training, your dd will suddenly get it, and stay happy about it.

do you have any idea what freaked her out???

good luck

How old is DD? She sounds very like mine - great for a few days then genuinely potty phobic after a couple of accidents. Am thinking of going back to nappies as well. She is 2.10.

Hi all, DD is almost 2+5mths. Apparently she asked to go for a wee at nursery yesterday and did one! Also her pull up was dry nearly 3 hours later, so she is obviously learning to hold it a bit (she did huge wee just after her bath and with a clean nappy on!Smile). I think I'm gonna wait a bit though before going for it again.

no, you;re quite right it doesn't pour all over the floor in tescos but we had a low moment on tuesday..... "poos coming".... walking along high st, almost home, but a few mins to go yet. i whip porta potty out, she's holding bottom, skid marks in knickers, get porta potty set up just as poo plops onto pavement. argh.... new meaning to poopa scooping me thinks.

she did later that night get one in the loo, but Blush

Made me laugh Grin
We had a good one on Saturday. DD did a wee at top of slide then went down it and shot about 4metres off the end of it because it was wet. I'll tell you I nearly wet myself!
