Toothfairy problems

My daughters first tooth came out today and she has decided she is not going to go to sleep. Now it is 11:30pm i have tried to resolve this with my daughter who is 5 and said to her as she is too excited i have made a special box to put her tooth in. So when everyone in the house is asleep the toothfairy will take her tooth and leave her pennies in the special box which she can see in the morning. Otherwise i fear she will be up all night waiting! This may sound a silly thread but was just wondering if anyone else had similar problems and how you resolved them? My daughter given half the chance would stay up all night and wait she has done it before with something so a quick solution was needed!

I would just tell her that the tooth fairy just doesn't come unless you're asleep.

Yep, I told ds1 that the tooth fairy only comes if you're asleep. If he stayed awake all night then she wouldn't come.

The little box is a good idea though. It also gets rid of the problem of fumbling for the tooth under the pillow in the dark and knocking it down the back of the bed. (I've done this twice Blush).

I told her the toothfairy wouldnt come a few times but she just ended up crying and waking everyone up so we had to compromise. Im glad the box is a good idea. Ive left it in a tinkerbell box too so she should be happy :)
